Keep a close eye on the wounds on her back and be ready to speak to the vet about upping the dose if you can feel more pus developing. (You could say something like the infection seems to be getting worse on her back and you have noticed that you have had a much higher dose of the same antibiotic in the past.)
I think you need to figure out if she is not eating because she feels unwell or because she is stressed about Hazel and the fighting. How does she seem in herself? Do you think some painkillers might help, and do you have any? Are you weighing her every 2 or 3 days to get an idea how she is doing?

I've been thinking on this as well . . . DL21, do you still have the second cage together and in the room? Could put Hazel in there for a couple of days . . . until her heat is finished?
I'm also wondering if a little Bach's Rescue Remedy might help to calm Hazel . . . though I'm not sure how you would deliver it. You can put some in the water, but I'm not sure how much you would put in. As well, some degus will not drink the water if the Bach's Rescue Remedy is in it. Which of course is of no help at all, both because they are not taking it in, and they are not drinking. So . . . that is a rather iffy bit of advise, that you are completely free to totally ignore.

Well she was 280g when the vet weighed her, she was sat on the wheel this morning had a little run and stopped. She’s been laid down mostly today. I opened the cage she cane out then went straight back in, then out again. She’s eaten a lot of sunflowers and I seen her earlier chewing on some hay. Checked her back it looks like it’s healing. She’s currently out and wondering. She was making that upset noise about 30 mins ago. I’m gonna see how she goes for the next few days. See if she’s being bullied. Her face is scabbing. She seems pretty alert, just think she’s feeling crappy.

She could be feeling sad or hurt in her emotions as well. It's not easy to deal with a friend that is inclined to lash out and cause pain when they are having a bad day . . . or heat . . . or PMS. I'm glad she is improving enough to eat her treats and move around a bit more.

Bit of weight loss but her face is still sore, she’s messing with it trying to clean it, she’s had a good drink today. And just currently packing her up with seeds. She’s slowly eating so it’s got to be the pain from the mouth

It will be a bit painful to eat as mouth movements will pull on the injury to her nose.

I'm so sorry about that, DL21!! I wonder if you could have a meeting with your boss and the people that are talking trash, just to try and clear the air with them? Though, that might add stress as well . . . I'm only trying to think of something that will reset things and improve the mindset of your co workers.
What is the general mood and outlook of the employees in this facility? Are there tensions between them and the people that own/run the facility?

DL, if people say nasty things about you because you were ill, then that's on THEM, not you. It shows how small and nasty THEY are, not you. Decent people don't say bad things about other people. Decent people don't think that they can raise themselves up by putting someone else down. And someone who is small and nasty and not a decent person is not someone whose opinion matters. So don't worry about what they say about you, as they are not worth listening to.
