I want to add some live green thats safe for a chinch cage. something that he may or may not be interested in eating. My chinch wont eat certain foods that are recommended so I'd like to ideally try out a few live plants that he wont eat and not use the ones that he will. I could use some safe recommendations.

moletteuk as far as I'm aware all the plants you use can be used for chinchillas. I wouldn't use from stonefrute though, but I think it would be a bit excessive to plant a tree in the cage 😂

Grasses are probably the easiest place to start, but if you want them as a permanent fixture then you'll want a few in reserve so that you can switch them out every so often to recover. Although the planters in the video in the thread linked below (at 2:20) were made for degus, you could use the same thing for chins: deguworld.proboards.com/thread/22408/degu-heaven
