Hello, I’m brand new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone located in the US could help me. I snatched up a lone male Degu from a suspicious pet store before someone else could and potentially put him in a bad home. I’ve had him home for about two weeks and I’ve heen looking to adopt another adult male degu to be his companion, but I’m hitting a wall. Can anyone link me to any information about adoptable degus located around Delaware or Maryland. Much appreciated!

Keep checking hoobly.com and petfinder, they show up occasionally. Also, craigslist.
If you can find a small animal rescue near to you, one that does guinea pigs and rabbits and hamsters, they may know where else you can call who might have degus, or who else sometimes takes them in.
Also try calling any vets nearby who do exotics and small animals, they may know who might have degus near you. Closest ones I know of to you are in Massachusetts, and that's not close at all. That would be Mill City Degus, they have a facebook page, maybe she would know of someone closer to you? I found her for another member on here by just calling all the small-animal rescues in our region (I'm in CT) and they would tell me someone else to call, and they would tell me someone else...and by following the chain, I finally found someone who knew of the degu rescue.
It's not easy, but they ARE out there. Just keep trying.

If you use Facebook theres a rehoming group that I've used to find friends for my lone goo! It's the Degu re-homing group USA and Canada.
