Hi basicaly i had 4 males (unexpected babies) 2 died quite soon within a few weeks of each other. There about a year old now. The pet shop i go to has 2 males in and to be honest they look miserable there and are so friendly i think they just want a big cage and some attention. The guy says he has had pretty much no interest in them at all and wont bother with them again. Just wondering what the chances are of us introducing our 2 to the new 2? The cage is plenty big enough for them all and i feel so bad leavin em in the pet shop. If the worst comes to the worst and they dont get on a lady i work with says she would take them. so is it a good idea??

If you have lots of patients, yes it would be worth a try. Read through all the threads, there are quite a few about introducing Degus and a couple about introducing males in particular. See what you think.

Hi, i how have the pet shop 2. they are in a reasonable sized cage that is going to be put right up to the boys cage. Let them figure out their not the only ones for a while before they get introduced fully. I will also keep an eye on all the posts on here for advice. cost me about 40 quid for the cage an all but i just couldn't see em week in week out so unhappy.
