My newly dominant degu Dillan, has been acting overly aggressive to his other cage mates. I saw it today when I had the cage door open, whoever was near him would have the fur on their backs pulled my him, and if he could get near enough he would also nip them. Every time he was meant with a squeak of annoyance and pushed away. Im not sure what he is doing, or why he is doing it. I wonder, because he became boss rather by accident (the more dominant two died just 2 months apart back at the end of last year) so could he not really be sure how to maintain his dominance, and so is continually having a go? Im confused and dont like seeing the constant bickering thats going on between them. any ideas?

Sounds like his cage mates don't take Dillan's attempts at dominance seriously. Without a true alpha male there will probably always be some bickering - each trying to one-up the next.
I haven't had any experience with this between my two Degu Girls since Mocha is the mother and Tanzania the daughter. Mocha puts up with a lot of devilment from Tanzania. Once she's had enough she will growl and hold Tanzania down while thumping her with her nose and furiously grooming her. They will wrestle once in awhile too but I've never seen either being truly aggressive with the other.
