Yes, I think one layer at 150x50cm and another two layers at 75x50 would be pretty good. You would need to take out most of the walls between the two parts that are side by side so that the degus could run freely between the two, but make sure it could still support the weight of the upper levels. Total running area would 4 lots of 75x50= 15,000, which is our minimum for up to 3 degus.

New cage

Well I had a look last night to see if I could fit two units next to each other but the cubby is too small I’m trying to think of where else I could place the cage but I don’t think I could fit 150l in the living room as the only space big enough is by the radiator which obviously wouldn’t work. I may be able to fit another 50cm unit on to the side but I’d need to take a look at how exactly it will fit together as I’m not great at this stuff Worst case would be I add the fourth level including additional shelving and then look in the near future to work on a new cage with more length
