Finally found an image hosting site I like the look of, so...
Welcome to ChezCatnip!
In this house we have such indignities as the SockBox, where degus can sulk while Catnip cleans out their cage.
You may notice that the SockBox is on its side, not a traditional orientation for boxes with degus in. This is because a certain young female brat has a liking for a top corner of the box, which she can reach by standing on the sock mountain. It is quite difficult to rearrange sock strips in a box so she can't reach, while two degus are actively trying to escape the box with the lid off. The solution is to tip the box slowly onto its side, allowing the socks to stick to each other and not fall down - so she can't reach any more.
Unfortunately for me, she just picked somewhere else.
In other news, Best decided my butt was a good degu sitting place.
ChezCatnip has opened its doors to Spongey and Fudgey, guineapig children of her best friend, who have been renamed NinjaPig and GingerPig for obvious reasons. Their travel cage has hiding places in it, when I'm not trying to photograph them.
The arrival of GingerNinjaPigs has brought obscure greenery into this house; I had no idea some of these things existed. Idle curiosity led me to offer all four degus a piece of SpringGreen, a random leafy thing that is allegedly a cabbage of some kind. Nyota and Best were completely uninterested. River snatched the whole thing out of my hand, and after Miho established that that was all I had, not anything exciting like a nut, proceeded to attempt to steal it from River simply because what's hers is hers and what's his is hers too.
River then dragged it all into the carpet tube and did his best to use his butt to block her from getting any.
