So I just noticed debris stuck in the gap and around Tibbs dodgy buck tooth. Gross. So as it grows at this odd angle, food now seems to get stuck between and around and this must be a breeding ground for bacteria. This dodgy tooth is now white in colour - it use to be orange.
Do you think this debris has caused the tooth to go white? I just got it all out of his tooth with an orange stick. Looks like I will have to do this on a regular basis, maybe purchase a mini goo toothbrush? 😂

I doubt the debris is the cause for the tooth being white. I wonder if there is a problem with the root.

Oh most definitely. That tooth was always gonna be problematic, it grows forward and he snaps it off when it gets in his way. Vet said it will never be a normal tooth.
It's strange though as it seems to have grown back thicker - it reminds me of a bunny tooth!

Is it thicker than the one beside it? Like a monster fang?

Yes the buck tooth one is like a square and his normal angled orange one is still narrow like it should be. I'll try get a pic he looks so goofy!!

Yeah, white teeth are damage or diet related.

Yup, it's the damaged one alright. The vet showed me his x-rays and it's all just misaligned. I said to her at the time that the wonky tooth was still orange so that must be a good sign, right? - she said no, colour alone is not indicative of the root condition and that we just had to accept that that tooth is never going to be normal.

Nor will his back teeth as the whole jaw is not aligned correctly to grind down the teeth, hence his molar issues. He was either born this way or it's all ramifications from his time at the farm eating straw. I think we all know which one it is!
It's all about maintenance with the old boy now, I keep an eye on weight and am still in awe at him always eating and chewing and gnawing so he has adapted and ameliorated these issues as best as he can.
Not sure what happens now though with this white tooth.. will it just drop out?

It'll likely break soon.

He snaps it off himself when it grows out too much, it's been broken a fair few times now.. but now even though it's white, it does look a lot stronger!

And here's the relatively normal one beside/behind it. Maybe he's just snapped it off too many times.. sigh

Strange indeed. However, good sign that other teeth are orange. Means it is very likely an anomaly with that tooth and not his overall health.

Very strange looking. Let's hope he continues to be able to keep it managable by himself. Just keep an eye on the slight gap forming between the lower pair too.

It's risky business.. You'd think with his cocktail of dental issues, eating and gnawing would be mission impossible!
