Love your plans, Bouncy!! I want pictures once you are done. Will you put in little peekaboo/periscope holes so you can see them as they are running past?

I'm thinking of it, but they might need frequently replacing if they choose to expand the peepholes Going to try and get it done before I go back to see my dad, so you'll hopefully see some pics soon!

I'm just looking at what to sticky and how to fit it in with what we already have. We had a sort out not too long ago to try to reduce the number of sticky threads, so now there are lots of threads collated into just a few stickied link pages. The main relevant one is the 'accessories to make and buy' sticky: deguworld.proboards.com/thread/18716/accessories-make-buy and within that we have 'interesting toy and accessories' which gives links to various threads. I could add in your suggested threads to the 'interesting toy & accessories' thread and add enrichment to the title. I think we could either pick out the 'enrichment & interesting toy and accessories' part of 'accessories to make and buy' and either put it into a 3rd separate post in the 'accessories to make and buy' thread, or possibly make a separate sticky thread. So it's a case or adding enrichment to the interesting to & accessories section and then either making it more obvious within the 'accessories to make and buy' section or giving it its own sticky thread. Hope that makes sense. Let me know what you think. Maybe, with it being boredom breakers, rather than putting it in the cage stickies we should keep the enrichment ones in the behaviour thread as it's encouraging natural foraging behaviour/developing unused skills?

I spent some time today with my mitre and saw cutting random sections of tube, then picking them up at random to join to the chain with duct tape. I didn't manage to join them all quite horizontal, so I'm going to grab another length from the garage tomorrow for more sections. It's going to be a bit like the pipes screensaver on the old Windows 3.1! Proper photos tomorrow, but they seem to have fun in there. I tried to get a picture of all three with their heads poking out, but there's that pesky delay with phone cameras.......

I give mine Sudoku, but make sure you start them off on an easy one otherwise it's just unrealistic

I've added Bexi's suggested links to the start of the first post in this thread and stickied the whole thread. Does that work?
Love the tube network. I love the site of a goo reversing out of a tube, usually accompanied by annoyed twittering lol! "you're in my way" with *headbut nudge* "oi!, you'll need to back up, I can't go anywhere" "no, you back up" *accompanied by shove*

Just came across this photo of parcels on strings which worked quite well:

I was browsing and doing some thinking: What about sealing up a tissue box? Put something in that makes a good *rattle* noise and have them go at it. I know mine love a tissue box that I put in there, sometimes it is a hiding spot.

Whilst recovering from having glass in my foot (ouch!) I decided to up the ante for the girls. I've made the mummified nuts again, wrapped them in string and tied them to an egg box. I've added string to each end of the box so it can be hung up in the cage I'll post the outcome later once the cage has been tidied!

Great videos I can't believe they didn't figure out to bite the string off like they did last time!

This may sound silly, but mine have been playing with a "big stick" for about 20 minutes now. Since mine chew at the door so much, I have a fair amount of leftover wood from changing it out. I recently tossed a "pre-loved" plank of protection wood in just to see what they do with it. Usually it is a ramp like in the first photo, but every now and then one of the girls plays with it too much and it falls to the floor. This seems to annoy them and the pull at it to re-position it, but it is just so big! Nico gets worried about them getting "frustrated" with "pointless" or "futile" activities like this. My opinion is they don't really know that they aren't going to be able to put the stick back up, so let them have some fun and then put the stick back up later. I'll probably try adding more large objects into the cage some other time. There seems to be a sweet spot of "small enough to knock around" but "large enough to be a challenge".
