Bexi . . . is your house next to the green fence, the one with the white door, or do you have the green fence? They look lovely!

Yeah we're pretty lucky really. Although Burnley is your typical Northern terraced town we have loads of parks. The one at the bottom of the street leads to 2 more!

This is the village I grew up in (and my parents still live). It's not really your typical village in terms of its part of a town rather than being out in the sticks but it's definitely home. goo.gl/maps/B8WwvypWAeuAnd this is where I work, with the pentlands practically on my doorstep (go towards the roundabout) and lots of lambs in the spring! goo.gl/maps/rTK89qB9HHU2

SO BEAUTIFUL!!! The village you grew up in, and your parents still live in, is absolutely stunning! I would love to go there and just stay for a while. I don't like big city busy, and that looks perfect, with amazing charm and beauty to grace every corner.
Where you work looks a little more barren, but the hills (mountains?) are awesome! Would have some lovely hikes!

Deguconvert you'd love the Malvern Hills, they're 15 minutes away from where I live and they're great for a walk/hike! The view from the top is lovely in the summer!

Yep! And big beautiful trees! ☺ you can see them from miles away! Although where Winic lives sounds much better, with all the wildlife!

@ntg I've been to Washington, it's nice, Ian tells me the museum was shut when we went ?? Last time we went to Edinburgh we went on the A702 and I saw the campus and wondered if that was where you are based.
The Malverns are lovely.

What on earth possessed you to go to Washington Mole? Only museum I can think of around there is the old F Pit Miners one. @dc, it's sparse but nice to see the hills and the odd buzzard/deer at the end of the day. Plus in Spring I get to watch the lambs frolicking about while doing cell culture. There are some really nice places to walk in the pentlands with good views of the city too!

My parents lived in Washington when I was born - we moved to Lancashire when I was under a year old. Only been back once (detour on an away trip for football) - amazing how different places are. Totally different to where I grew up

So, we've now moved an hour forward, ending Daylight Savings Time. Have you, or will you, be doing the same?
It's 6pm now in the eastern USA.
