hi, our 2 and a half month old chin has got slightly soft poo and we have read that a piece of burnt toast can remedy this. has anyone atually tried it? and did it work? thanks for looking

hey,ive got 2,11 week old degus,n 1 of theres is soft as well,i fort it mite have been to do with giving them too many greens??

we had been giving him some alfralfra hay which is dried but green. other than that all he's been getting is hayand pellets.

Soft poo for chinchillas can be a major problem. You need to feed a piece of very burnt toast, they will most often eat this quite happily, but it needs to be very burnt indeed to be of any benefit. The carbon in the burnt toast will help solidify things!!
