I tried to get a video of Chico a few months ago, but he was too interested in playing with the camera. He keeps jumping in my lap to get to the camera, and at the end he jumps up onto my shoulder (I kept raising the camera higher to get it away from him) and almost tackles me!

LOL, he's not at all camera-shy, is he??? Keep these coming -- I just love looking at new pictures of Chico! He's so darn cute!

he's soooooooooooo big!! ive never seen a chinchilla move that fast, only ever seen them in pet shops,asleep. do they sleep alot?? i wanted chinchillas, but they are £120 each where i live, degus are £22.50, i can just about afford them!! i would wn a chinchilla though!!

They're nocturnal, so they sleep most of the day. If I'm in the room where his cage is during the day for longer than a few minutes, he'll sometimes wake up and want to play. Those are usually pretty short playtimes, though. Chinchillas are curious about everything, so if something's going on, they have to see what's up!
