Is it strange that my Garf doesn't seem to jump up very high? Don't think he could get up onto a toilet as he just about gets up on the sofa and that has grip

The bath tub is right next to the toilet and bc their cage is next to the bath they run along the side of the bath and jump onto the toilet seat

So, you're basically saying he's like a "SuperSpideygoo?"

Got them a flying saucer. Drum is closer to figuring it out but still not there lol! Taken their wheel out of the cage so they don't get distracted and figure out the saucer...

Made some progress, stuck a treat in a piece of bamboo and held it in front of them while they run. Drum has learn't you don't actually get the treat when you want it tho! Chip is learning well though. I gave them back their wheel so they don't get bored.

Is it weird I haven't seen a dominant goo yet? I have had them 20 weeks and they were together before that.

The dominant one isn't necessarily obvious. With mine, Spidey is. With the others, I'm not sure, but I do wonder if it's Smashygoo lol

Yeah, it isn't alway clear which degu is dominant. In our groups, as I got more used to seeing them and how things worked between them, the dominant goo seemed most often to be the degu that came across as the most laid back and mellow. They don't display their dominance in the same way as other animals.

I agree dominance not always obvious, or sometimes you see contradictory things. Sometimes whoever is biggest is a good indicator.

Gave them their first ever pumpkin seeds today! They both ate them happily. Is it ok for them to have 1 each everyday?

After a while of watching them I have come to the conclusion that Drum may be the dominant goo.
When they do their chewing bar routine when I am in the room it will be Drum that pushed Chip out of the way, It is also Drum that will always get more treat, I may be wrong but all the little things make Drum appear dominant.

Also just went in and saw Chip in their hammock tunnel thing, she looked rather uncomfortable as Drum was sitting on top of the hammock, squashing Chip

silly goos!
I've seen mine sitting in an uncomfortable looking heap, then one will hip-check another right off the side of the shelf to get more room.
