Welcome to the forum. We hope you enjoy your time here.
Please join the forum if you wish to see all areas and be able to post messages. It's a quick and simple process — all you need is an email address.
We try hard to make Deguworld Forum a fun and friendly place, so here are a few polite requests to help the forum continue to run smoothly:
• It would be very helpful if you add your approximate location to your profile information so that we can give advice relevant to where you live.
• Please read through your message before you post it to check that it is legible in terms of spelling and grammar, and for 'text speak' and auto-correct issues that may make your message difficult to understand. Bear in mind we have members all over the world who may be reading in a second language.
• Always start your own thread for your topic and try to stick with one thread over time for any ongoing topic. Please use the search function and check sticky threads to see if your question has already been answered.
• We have extremely limited space for photo attachments so please use a photo hosting site like Photobucket or FlickR to post photos. Upload your photos to the host site and then just copy and paste the IMG web link on the host site directly into your message here. Any photos attached directly to the forum have to be manually deleted periodically.
• Please bear in mind that, on a forum, it can be difficult to say what you mean in the tone that you intend. People are sometimes stressed about their degus or are writing in a second language, so always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and assume friendly intent.
• We are not qualified vets; the forum is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Advice given on the forum is given with the best of intentions but only the pet keeper has all of the information. You are responsible for the welfare of your own pets.
Please contact a moderator via PM if you have any concerns – we are happy to help – and don't be shy about joining us and posting your first message. We look forward to hearing about you and your degus.
