Betty Mouse Doll had her teeth filed again at the vets. This was about her sixth time there having this done. A word to the wise pay for x-rays at the beginning if you are having drooling, won't eat, and pawing at their mouth. These X-Rays were $120.00 and she is much much better now. Our vet referred us to a specialist in Southlake Texas the next time we have problems. These Southlake doctors go to school an extra 4 years just to learn about animal teeth and are only available through a vets referral. We pay about $60 every time Betty has her teeth filed. Hopefully the spurs were all taken care of this time. Their mouths are so small its hard to get in there and really see what is going on. With the x rays its much easier to see what needs to be done. Well worth the cost the first time around. Hopefully she should only need this tooth filing twice a year now.
X-Rays Female chinchilla 6 yrs old. Check out her very back molars the vet thinks this is where her problems were coming from.
The male is still taking his eyedrops for cataracts mostly everyday and is doing well.
