Bet they're having an excellent time exploring! Are they missing the old one or looking longingly at it?

They haven't stopped charging round since they have gone in their. They weren't happy when I was taking all of their toys out though and looked a bit worried!
Since they have gone in though they haven't seemed to have looked back. Would like to put a few more bits in for them, thinking a flower pot of 2 for digging and a hanging basket or something maybe. Haven't heard a squeak from any of them, even when I put their dinner in!

I am amazed at the difference this cage has seemed to of have made! Put their breakfast in this morning and not a single squeak between the three of them. They always squabble a lot at feed times so I'm shocked. They still seem to be testing all the bars to try and find a possible escape route and have done a little bit of redecorating.

Hahaha looks like they are far too busy for squeaking! I think people are quite often surprised at the difference a good sized cage can make, it affects their whole behaviour and the relationships in the group, you just don't know it until you see the difference for yourself. You need to put some signs up: No Leaning Out of the Cage - it doesn't matter how much space you give them, they always want to be in the place that is just out of reach!!

Excellent! Those are happy goobies!
I remember setting up my cage, opening up the old one so they could run, the gradually removing the toys etc into the new one. They followed out of curiosity, but I think Spidergoo misses his climbing opportunities. I had to give mine a ramp to get back in, but they happily jump out.
If you put a perch on the door, I find they jump from the cage onto the open doorl perch, then launch themselves over the top of the cage door to whatever is on the other side......

Yes, they certainly think that anything on the other side of the cage is better! Just after that video Quillo leant so far forward she nearly fell out, Dante grabbed her by her tail and pulled her back in, silly goos!
Started on the boys cage conversion today, have cut the one side of the cage off and used the wire from that side to extend the shelf. Tomorrow I will be cutting the other side of the cage out, joining the two together and extending the platform on that side as well. I would like to put a whole floor in but can't due to the doors so they will have to make do with the platforms taking up nearly the whole length of the cage minus the space for the doors.
So in total the floor will be 6ft long, with a 6ft long wooden strip up the top and that strip will then be extended width ways the entire width of the cage and length ways to the door and then the same on the other side. That's the best way I can think of maximising the cage space without having to take everything apart.

It's just taken me a little over a hour to catch bloody Blaze to remove him from the cage so I can cut the side of it! Thought I'd fill a box up with jay and tasty foods and he'd jump straight in, nope, Ice was in and out like no tomorrow. Blaze whenever he got near the box, looked at me squeaked then charged around the cage. Eventually got him in by him going into his snuggle cube so I closed he entrance up with him in it and transferred him to the box. You would think I was trying to torture him not give him a cage double the size of the one he currently has!

Boys cage is all done and they seem happy, need to put a lot more stuff in it for them as its a bit bare.
The girls have for someone reason started chewing on the bars for some reason which is driving me slightly crazy. They have lots of things in their, they have ropes going around the empty space in the cage along with hammocks and swinging ladders etc so 95% of the space is accessible and easy to charge around yet they still chew on the bars, especially Dante. Any ideas,

Looks WONDERFUL! How are they liking it? How are you liking it? So glad you managed to put it together. I have heard they are "lacking" in the directions needed for assembly several times.

We are all loving it! The only annoying thing is I'm too short to reach the top levels! Planning on popping into town tomorrow to pick a few bits up maybe to put in there

Wow looks amazing! If you get bored and fancy doing some more diy check out my thread in the cage section called Aventura Modifications. Ny cage is very similar to yours and I built an extra shelf that fits right up against one of the existing half shelves in order to give them a whole floor. Hope your babies are enjoying their new space xx

Just had the boys out for a bit and Ice decided to box poor Emrys my rabbit in the face! Poor guy looked so shocked! I'm now attempting to catch the two monsters but they seem to have no interest in going back home currently!
