I've got 2 chinchillas, Charlie and Gizmo. Had one called Willow who passed away from unknown causes at at early age, only 4 1/2, Charlie is 5 1/2. So found Gizmo to keep Charlie company - she's 2 or so, still a youngster, very nuts, but then so is Charlie. Hoping to get 1-2 more to join them, both are mellow and non-dominant so as chinchillas go, introductions will be easy. They introduced to each other in 1 sandbath in the bathroom session! So without further ado, pictures! The late Willow, whose grumpiness I miss daily, she was a big girl (I've wondered if she was the C. brevicaudata type, some pets are supposed to have come from them, she was very stocky!); Charlie: And the dear little Gizmo: By the way Charlie often sleeps on her side, even if it's unusually cold - it did cause me to panic a lot her first summer here. So there are my very cheeky Chinnies!!!

Lol, how strange - they look like mine ..! Peanut is the stockier one, and then pickle is the slimmer one with wider eyes - yes, peanut does that, when I first got the chins, I read that chinchillas never sleep on their side, so I kept going up to peanut and gently stroking him to make sure he was ok xD (he wasn't too happy about it, lol)

Haha ntg that's spookily accurate! I wish I'd taken more photos I miss my dear Willow! They are full of personality When I introduced Charlie and Gizmo, I put in a neutral cage, after an hour or so Charlie sat barking and grumbling at me until I put her wheel in. She's very mild mannered most of the time, but when she is grumpy she's enthusiastic about letting me know!
