Absolutely fantastic! How big are degu litters normally? I know with chins 1-3 usually, though one litter of mine was 4, 3 surviving. Even 3 survivors is rare but my pair had 2 litters with me, both with 3 survivors. Hope they're all healthy. Well done Lolly

Degu litters can be anything from 1 up to 10. Have once heard a report of 11! They can have huge litters. With our girls, I've noticed an average of 6-7.

Aww, that's too bad about the "new" home falling through. That must be a disappointment for you. I hope that building the new enclosure won't be difficult, or cause spacial restrictions that are unpleasant. On the up side . . . you don't have to say goodbye to them.

Thanks mole , shame I can't get mummy and daddy in there too! Babies are so active I didn't trust the, haha. New, they are good! Daddy has recovered well since having his balls chopped. Mummy's teeth went white and are now tinted yellow, vet couldn't find aching wrong with her so nature what's going on. Lovely seeing the family all in a pyramid together

Polly the tamest of the four babies, quiet and reserved and loves nothing better than chilling at watching tv with me and hubby.we found a scab on her back last night, on her right shoulder and the tiniest tear in her left ear, we think that it's mummy lolly, she's protective of her food, so I have split the food into two bowls and put them on two separate levels. Maisey A little more active, distinguishable by the colour on the tip of her tail and has a champagne tinge to her and daddy beans's face Poppy is dong good, her half tail seems to have frozen out a lot more! And Daisey won't bloomen sit still to take a photo! All fully hoping on hands now
