REALLY??? Even for an emergency like this??? That's just wrong! What if you just showed up?
Forgive me . . . perhaps vets work a little differently there. Here, if you have an emergency, you go to a pet hospital, or a basic vet. Most will take you in, or at least help to stablize your pet so that you can get to another place they will direct you to. I've been redirected to a hospital all the way across town and that is a good 45-60 minute drive depending on traffic flow and time of day. However . . . I'm still shocked that you've been told to wait of an appointment. Her condition seems much more urgent to me than that kind of option.
Keep an eye on her. I don't know what you can do if things take a turn for the worse, so have no further advise for you at the moment. Just know, I'm hoping hard that all comes to the best possible conclusion, for you, your sweet little momma and the pups to come. Hang on there, little love!!

Yes. I don't understand. They weren't any help at all. She doesn't seem to be suffering any, though. I put her mate back in with her (take him out at night) in hopes that it will calm her for the time being. In fact, she seems completely normal other than her random contractions. I also do not believe it is a breach baby. There is no way she'd be reacting so nicely if it was a breach. I'm thinking maybe she just tired herself out and maybe needs a shot of oxytocin to speed up the labor. Or maybe her body is just odd and she's having a very long labor. It is her first litter after all. They're both sleeping, oddly enough. Hm. I just wish she could talk so she could tell me what's going on.

Dexter is still not delivered of her pups. Her contractions came to a complete halt for a couple of days. They have started up again this afternoon.

Hey, guys. Sorry about the lack of update lately. I've been really stressed with this whole situation, and it's just getting worse. Update: I woke up this morning to find a poor little stillborn baby in her den. I know she's having more than just one baby, and I pray they aren't all stillborn.

Just for those who have been following along on this thread, I've been in contact with Dreamer through pms, so she has not been left alone. Things are still not moving much with Dexter.
