Hello!
I've recently adopted two degu who's previous owner couldn't keep them anymore.
Originally it was thought they were 6 months old but after looking at the paper work, they didn't know how old they were. The man at the store said he thought they didn't look over 1 year old tho.
However, i was wondering if there was any way to try to roughly tell their age?
Thank you!!

To be honest, I'm not sure there really is a way to tell their age. They don't really change over time in looks. I suppose the only way to tell may be to weigh them. My 'little' goos weiged about 220g when I first got them at about 6-7 months old. My 'big' goos weighed about 250-270g and they were over a year old. They have all leveled out now, but still vary in weight. Do you know how much your's weigh? Best way I've found to weigh them is to get them into their dust bath and place the whole thing on the scales and then just subtract the weight of the dust bath. Welcome by the way Oh and just a little hint...we LOVE pictures
