Wow - I love your blog!! Your goos are very lucky - I'm sure they love their cage, it looks amazing. Hopefully, I'll be making my own DIY Degu cage soon, but I doubt it'll look as good as yours I think we all secretly have a dream of making our own perfect cage for our goos, I definitely have an idea of what I want mine to look like

Thank you. I hope they are happy - they certainly have calmed down since going in there and we've had to sweep less! I borrowed a lot of inspiration from various people on this and other sites and had the picture in my minds eye of all the things I wanted to incorporate and sketched it on a piece of paper. The design has changed and adapted as I worked on it. And has changed - coming soon! - and will be improved further as time goes on.

Excellent! I love the blurry action shots - if you see what I mean ;D Never work with children or degus It's so interesting and exciting watching degus figure out new things, observing their behaviour in new situations Has Serrano regained some of her bossiness with some familiarity and time with the new setup?

Haha yeah they are the best pictures! I deleted sooooooo many. Every one was a case of 'Ooohh look how cute!' *Cue camera... Goo moves a split second before the shutter* Almost every time! They have taken to exploring their home extensively and it is always interesting to figure out what they are doing. We swap the interior contents out once a month, different hammock, toys etc - they are ones they have had before so it's no a new home each time, but challenges them a little more and the first hours after putting them back is spent frantically exploring. Serrano hasn't resumed dominance. I don't know if it's to do with the space but at the moment the dominance displays are fairly muted. She certainly doesn't pin Jalapeno upside down and groom her like she used to.

OOOFFF!!! That's a little like throwing someone to the ground, sitting on their chest, and giving them a hair cut, isn't it? LOL!! Sounds like Serrano has had a much needed mellowing. I love your new cage and all the pictures, along with the captions. It must have been such a pleasure to watch them move about and explore! Well done!

And finally (well not finally, but the most up to date bits and bobs I have)... PLAYTIME! I don't have pictures but I have spent many a time sat in the pen with them whilst they have ran all over me (Serrano included), which is quite funny really. I also love the beer can bit at the end. abravegooworld.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/play-time-mk2.html

It looks truly amazing!! It's a wonderful cage, and I bet the girls love it . . . especially after a few hours spent in the single thickets cage. Well done, Mhb!!
