As the title suggests - have chopped a branch of our apple tree today question is can I give it to them now or does it need drying in any way? Have been looking on net but info is conflicting?

I have always given my girls fresh branches, they love it and have had no adverse reactions.

Just thinking about it, so adding another post. As long as you know the branches haven't been sprayed with any insecticides or any other nasty things, then shouldn't be a problem. I guess if they were coming from somewhere other than your own garden then maybe some other safeguard measures should be taken.

I can't add anymore than what sam has, just that if you're in anyway unsure dry it out before hand, I think you can do this in the oven.
