I have two female degus and they both love pinging and chewing on the cage bars, its very noisy and distracting for everyone in the house and it doesn't seem too good for their gums. I've tried bitter spray on the bars but that doesn't seem to have worked. Any other tips would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure there is a way to prevent this, it's just a habit some goos seem to naturally take up. The only solution I can offer is to let them have more time out of the cage, however some goos will still ping the bars even when outside.

Check my thread on here called "CONSTANT CAGE BITING".
I have tried everything there is. One of my gooz is just more interested in biting the cage than anything else. I think they may like the sound or something. Sometimes it seems like a cry for attention, mine seem to stop doing it when i ignore them a little. Any solutions to this would be brilliant.

earplugs and metal music! mine do seem to like different kinds of music, you might even try giving them herbs that tend to calm peoples nerves that they are allowed to have like rose petal, hibiscious flower, ive even heard of people giving their degus lavander, lemongrass, and chamomile.
