when I clean my degus cage, one always jump in his ball and one stays in the cage, although he normally would come out. anyway, when I clean them, I hoover (or vacuum) everything and he seems to enjoy chasing it, which is quite funny to watch, although I have to keep him far enough away to not get sucked up it. Do your goos like the hoover?

Hmmm, I've never let them close enough to see a reaction. I have no idea. LOL!

Mine dont mind it, I hoover their large 3 tier cage out once everyday depending on the amount of poo on the higher levels. I make sure my hand covers the end so it only sucks what it is supposed to.

Mine get pretty excited when the Hoover comes out! I find it hilarious that my little googles like it and the cat can't stand it. I mean the goo's are so little they should be scared of it! Daisy likes it if you brush the bars with the sweeping brush too, especially if you get her belly! Hee hee. :-)

I'm glad I seen this post as so far I have not turned my hooover on as was scared it would give my girls a heart attack. I always use a brush and shovel but they hate the brush and grunt and chase it and squeak to get it to go away. I think I will try hoovering the hall while my son watches Riff and Raff to see how they react. It hard work to brush carpet on hands and knees lol Man the things I do for my girls I think I have lost it lol lol lol

Mine seem to have a little stand off with my hoover nozzle!!! Im so sure that each time I Hoover near the cages the goos are staring at the nozzle thinking " come on then!! We can take you on ". Lol xx they all stop really still at the bars and just glare in an intense way, as though they really would fight it if it were so brave as to enter their space!! they make me laugh so much, I love their characters.
