You might want to put her inside something soft and somewhat spacially restricted in that case. Once the wind gets released, she might resemble a deflating balloon flying through the air more than a degu. ;D

No, I'm betting 9 too. Mocha had 9 babies and she looked similar to your Coke. Of course I thought I'd just fed "him" ( Virgil was her original name since she was sold to me as a baby boy!!!!) too much grass and "he" was colicky. I even commented to my husband if I didn't know better I would say Virgil was pregnant. Poor "guy" had so much gas it felt like babies. WELL low and behold it was babies. 8 actually lived one was either still-born or died shortly after birth. I was sure she had 8. I found the ninth buried under the nest box when I cleaned the cage.

We were told Jack & Coke her male too! So when I adopted Punk & Rocket, we tried introductions and there was far too much humping going on! Low and behold now Coke could be pregnant. REally 9? ? Gosh!

I dont think shes pregnant anymore, i think shes just a podgy degu, obviously i could be wrong, but degus are generally pregnant for 3 months you have been thinking shes preggers since December but you never know, one day you might wake up to a nest of pups.
One of my old friends from Kent has some goo's and hers got pregnant and she said she was preggers for no longer than 3 months and that Pippi used to hide away before the birth and nest build and not let the other goo's near here.
has she been nesting and hiding away alot?
Have you been to the vets with her since?

I think I was just worried that PaH had mixed the sexes of Jack & Coke up, but she's had contact with Punk & Rocket all through January! I said to Bean the other day if no babies by the end of May then we know she's just a fatty She's been resting a lot more and has taken over bed making duties from Jack - she was the main bed maker to begin with. When she was at my mum's she loved finding a place in my mum's big jumper, was comical to watch (and listen) to her finding "her spot" as it became known No I'm going to take her to the vets later this week, maybe early next week if her eye starts getting really gunky and see what they say because if she is and she's about ready too pop you'd sure be able too feel and see them
