As you may see from my other recent post, we were certain we had a pregnant goo. She was nesting ferociously and gaining weight very rapidly, looked very fat and a bit fluffy. She has now actually stopped gaining weight, although she is still nesting and spending a lot of time in the nest. She is also still FAT. We know she hasn't had pups already (unless they were born and escaped without us noticing) so we are now very confused!!! How do we know if she is pregnant? Would we have noticed if she miscarried? Help! Any advice?

You would have noticed a huge change in her physical appearance. They look deflated and back to normal once they have delivered. As to "is she still pregnant?" That I think is a matter of waiting. When you look at her . . . is she at all bumpy along the sides? The pups, once she is near delivery, will be making bumps along her sides. If she is pregnant, you have to be extremely careful about handling her as well. If she doesn't deliver . . . you could take her to a Vet to have them check. It could be that she is simply fat . . . which is something that happened to another member on here several months back. Their female got HUGE but no pups, no pups, well past delivery time and no pups. The vet checked her out and she was just fat.

They usually get fat and lumpy VERY quickly. Our goo gained about 60g in 3 days wen she was pregnant. Cant remember exactly how long she looked pregnant for though !
