Hmmm . . . degus hide their pregnancy very well, and although you may notice an increase in size very gradually over the first two months, it isn't until the last month that they start to burgeon at the sides a bit. The last 1-2 weeks they can look as though they have almost swallowed a tennis ball, they just really blow up (sorta ). Later in their pregnancy, I'm told that if you run your finger over her sides, from fore leg to back leg, you can detect the forms of any pups, and the closer it comes to delivery time, you can feel her nipples protruding. Before then . . .? Well, it's mostly a wait and see kind of thing.

Might also be worth mentioning that some Goo's just adore making nests, and not necessarily because they are pregnant. One of my boys ADORES making nests, can't stop him once he gets started. So she may just be a keen Nest builder, but obviously look out for any signs such as getting wider, and around their tummy area as DC mentioned you should be able to feel the little Goo's inside, but not sure which time you can defiantly feel them.
