My females are 4 months - do they reach their adult size around 6 months? Im a bit fuzzy on that. I think they are half the size of my 4yr old males and I know they will be smaller but at 4 months I thought they might be a little bigger.
And thats got me worrying I might not be giving them enough protien for development or something.
I've turned into such a worrier with these girlies, I think it's because they are so naughty in the cutest way possible to keep me on my toes.

Taken from degutopia:
"Degus do not reach full adulthood (and thus full weight/size) until they are just over 1 year old (58 weeks)"

I think you are doing fine, Buzz. I expect they have a lot of growing to go yet. Although I remember our boys growth slowing down between the 6 - 12 months ages, they still increased in size by quite a bit. Some of the females that are in the photo section also seem to be pretty close, if not the same, size as the males I've seen. Although . . . there are some that seem pretty tiny at their adult age. I wouldn't be worried. If their teeth are strong, their eyes bright, and their coat full and shiny, you will have beautifully healthy young females on your hands. ;D
