Congratulations, Smux!! That was a quick answer to the question of pregnancy, wow! I'm so glad that Theresa is well, and it sounds like the pups are well too. I look forward to hearing more about them and seeing a picture or two. Woo hoo!!

Update to the baby count...I left the looking until after I returned (so I could get washing up liquid to properly wash my hands with...I chose antibacterial) and there's actually 3 babies and they're just as cute and uncuddly (too small to cuddle) as the last ones, and possibly a little bit smaller than the others were...although I might just have forgotten how small the original babies were before. So the count is now 15, with no definite plans for these new additions yet.
The inside of the box was a little mucky from the birth, but nothing too bad so I left it as it was as there was literally only a couple of spots here and there and was probably cleaner than last time.
Damien and Loki are in separate parts of the cage at the moment as they were fighting viciously, with bits of fur being removed. Whenever I opened the door, Loki would launch himself at me and scramble up onto my shoulder to get away from Damien. I may try them together before I go to bed as it may have been my t-shirt as before (clean t-shirt without girlie smells tends to stop them getting agitated) and I've been out a few hours and only spent a very short time with the girlies before coming into my room (and seen no agitation from them since). I also made a mistake somehow of having one of the girls in with Gizmo and the boy in with Theresa, but I am pretty sure it was for no more than an hour in the case of the boy and minutes in the case of the girl as I noticed Gizmo harassing him/her and moved "him" up to the top of the other cage (where they used to live). This probably happened earlier when I took the boy to see his mum and it got a bit hectic with girls climbing out and the flatmate not helping much so I lost track of which the boy was. I wanted to get Theresa out to say hello to him as she hadn't seen him in a few days and was getting really excited (as were the girlies). If only the OTHER girl had been the one who got mixed up, I would have realised straight away as she has the end of her tail missing (Theresa, I think...I noticed the baby liked to bite Theresa's tail too)
While I was out, I decided to get a few treats in Asda while I was getting the washing up liquid, and I can now confirm that all the degus like or love almond flakes and pumpkin seeds and a few of them like oat cakes (I bought this pack that had thin biscuit-like oat cakes with about 1% sugar, I assume only what's naturally there as sugar isn't in the ingredients...the pack was something like 40p and had 32 of these biscuits with each biscuit lasting through giving all of them a little bit to try)...Just have to wait for the babies to grow up before I can find out what they like now :-)
