one of my girls has a runny eye , she came to me like this & after being here a few days & being put in a new bigger clean home it seemed to clear up a little. but i just noticed today that its back to how it was when she arrived. it doesnt look infected or swollen at all , just wet . i tried searching the board already , eye has less than 4 letters so it wont search can a dental issue cause this like in rabbits ? if so , how do i check a nervous degu's teeth ?

Yes, dental issues can cause a runny eye in degus. You need to take her to the vet to have this looked into. Sometimes their upper molars grow long roots, which cause trouble in the eye socket etc. There is little, really nothing, that can be done to correct this. However, this is not the cause of all runny eyes. So, before you despair, have her looked at. It could be that there is an infection behind her eye, which is successfully treatable so long as it isn't too far along.
