All of a sudden we have noticed a big lump of one of the goos back/shoulders - doesn't seem to bother him at all and will let you 'feel' it without any fuss. Will have to get him checked out at the vet but wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar?
Thanks in advance

Thanks smux - no other symptoms at all. He is only 8 months old so hoping it's nothing serious - it has literally just appeared - from nothing to there. When he comes out for nibbles and treats I always stroke between their ears so I would have noticed it if it had gradually been growing - very strange. Luckily we have just had a pets @ home open in town and the vet there is doing a £10 special consultation so thats not bad on the pocket just to have an opinion. Mind you making hubby take him as he lets him catch and hold him without any biting ( although there is always a 1st time!) Will keep you posted on what is said later.

Will have to look in to the RSPCA option for future - money better spent by the sounds

So an update on Torres's trip to see the nice vet - it was abscess. Vet straight away guessed as it had appeared so quickly and asked if he had been fighting ( yes they bloody have the last couple of weeks as I said in another thread!) managed to pin him down ( not a happy goo) and got a needle in - followed by another pinning session with a bigger needle, hubby nearly puking as he drew a big syringe of liquid/puss out of said lump. A slightly tramatised Goo is now back home in with his bro with slightly tramatised us trying to work out how to get the antibiotics in him! Our drips on a treat have so far been shunned - any suggestions would be great on how you have managed said impossible task? last time he had meds the greedy goo took it on a biccie - not playing this time...... Must also add I am very impressed that my iccle boy didn't bite vet or hubby - think I may have in the circumstances!

the medicine soaked treat has now been consumed ( let it soak right in) phew - at least I don't have to consider the trauma of holding him and forcing meds in - bad enough having to do that with babies over the years!
