Hi, I have owned degu's for about 8 years and for some reason I have never became a member of this site??? My first 2 degus were JarJar and Binx (Males) Lost Binx aged 5 I then introduced 2 baby males (Bully & Yoda) to JarJar they got on great Lost JarJar 2008 (Old age) then sadly lost Yoda (Freak Accident???) we think he fell. so I am left with Bully who is very timid towards humans. I have found 3 males in the local RSPCA centre which I want to adopt them, and was wondering if any one has introduced 3 grown males to 1 male I am worried Any advice would be of great help?? Thank you,

It sounds like these degus were not a group to begin with, but were brought in separately and then were all put together by the rescue center? OUCH if that is so. Do they have no experience with degus?

No they have never had a group! they said the 4 came together rescued from a house where there was loads of degus. problem was one degu damaged his tail a week after being at the centre they removed him to amputate the tail he had been seperate from the group for 2 weeks when they put him back in.
I have the pair not injured at home now in my degus cage which I have divided. So far so good cross fingers my degu bully is very intrested in them. The 2 remaining degus which are seperated are at the rescue centre as they are both now on antibiotics due to cuts to the head. I have ordered a new cage so that when they are ready to come home I will try too reintroduce them to each other slowly! hopefully I will end up with big group if not I will try at least to have a pair and a three!
I am very nervous but I will use all info I have found on here.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions you have. As you know, degus can throw you for a loop sometimes with something right out of the blue. So ask without fear. We have a great group of members on here, and I have always found them to be very glad to help.
Welcome to the forum, btw, and sorry I didn't say that sooner. It will be great to have your experience to add to the help and information here!
