Hi!! My boyfriend has given me this from an apple tree (I don't know the variety). Is it safe? If it is, how should i give them, just have to clean with water, or something more?? Thanks!! ;D (Sam is getting well, BTW )

Normally there is no need to clean it. I only clean and dry big branches I want as furniture. When you are sure that the tree is clean (without chemical treatment against fungi etc. and not standing next to big streets) you can give it directly to your degus. If the degus don't know fresh food start with only a few leaves. You can dry the rest for later.

Well, I don't know if it has chemical treatment , but in this case, just cleaning with water is ok, right? I'll do it anyway, just to prevent and be sure

If it has chemical treatment, don't use it. Watter won't help. I always beg neighbors and other people for an apple branch that had no chemical treatment. For now they sure think I'm crazy veggie ecologist and apple branches consumer. I hope they won't call doctor on me Otherwise I think apple branches are great for goos. My two always fight over one, doesn't matter how much parts I give them.
