Following the loss of my handsome boy Dixie, Reggie is now alone.
To this end I'm putting feelers out for female companion(s) for her as I don't want her to be lonely. I can give her love, affection, cuddles, food, warmth and all the basics, but I'm not a degu and I can't speak her language, so on my own I will never be enough for her.
If anyone should hear of any female degus that are in need of a good home in the north east of England, can they please let me know.

Would you consider a boyfriend if already neutered?

Yes bouncy I would, a neutered male might calm her down a bit.

Thanks bouncy, I'll complete the application tomorrow, the scaffolding outside my flat is currently playing havoc with my Internet connections.

Just had a phone call from the RSPCA about the 3 ladies in York, early days but looking promising.
They are approx 3 years old and are sisters.

I think it was when I told them how much experience I have with degus. Plus, they love my cages.
We did discuss what plans I had to integrate Reggie into the clan and what would happen if I couldn't. I explained that if she wasn't accepted, then she would live alongside the trio so either scenario wouldn't be an issue, all the girls would have a forever home.

They look wonderful - curious, mischievous, and a soft spot for shreddies

The rspca has them down as Amber, Ruby and Sphene but I might change their names later.
