Oh I let him put a few minutes later and ratty went straight up to him for a treat. Think he was just being territorial and he's not like it with me. He knows I just look at him like. And your point is Mr....

My Flossie used to attack sometimes, but she knew exactly what she was doing, it was all for show and shock value, she just wanted to let us know she didn't want us to do a particular thing, rather than to hurt us. Was parner doing a particular thing that he could do differently?

No he only got as far as opening the door. Ratty was chewing in his favourite spot. I'm sure if he wanted he could have actually bitten think he was just being a grump. Just made me laugh he took on a human lol

Somehow we humans tend to be a little stereotypical elephantine when we are charged by a rodent. We're not overly formidable. LOL!

Unfortunately I have had to separate the chins again - I went away for the weekend and came back to find fur slip around the cage, but they were sleeping together so I left them.
Then last night I was woken up by Peanut chasing Pickle; Peanut has found a way to get Pickle out of his fleece cube so I separated them. I will have to see how they react together tonight.

That's too bad, Natnat! I hope they settle well for you and are happy together again.

Ah, ok - I have to separate the chins for Pickles well-being.. still havnt managed to get them back together yet. Pickle was getting too comfortable in the top part of the cage so I have moved him to the bottom half, so hopefully that will help (crosskeys)

So.. finally making progress Went a week with 3 introductions where Pickle would run away from Peanut for no reason at all. This was after they had some lovely grooming sessions.. so no idea what happened there. I gave Pickle a few days to calm down and he was still acting up so I thought screw this and forced them both together. I’ve found if Peanut is running away from me and bumps into Pickle they get on. Pickle teeth grinds at Peanut and it makes him nervous I think - maybe that’s why. Anyway, they had a nice grooming session. Then last night we let the chins and degus out for a run and surprisingly they all got on really well! Even the chins and degus were good together - they were all happily gathered in one corner eating everything the degus had chucked out of the cage
