I'm abit confused has she now gone to a better home? I hope so I hate people who treat animals like this. It tears me up

Thank you everybody - we've passed your advice to the owner and she'll see what she can do. The degu is very active as usual and doesn't seem to be in any pain or discomfort, so hopefully it's just a weird thing she simply decided to do. degulover21: Yes, she is in a better home now. She's been rescued from the previous owners at the time I started the thread. bouncy: The new owner isn't into taking photos much, so I can't show any, but from what we've been hearing the goo is completely settled in, begging for treats like a pro and generally very, very attached to the owner. She says the goo is extremely vocal about everything, constantly "talking" to her, making all kinds of sounds, etc. She gets free run time every now and again in some parts of the apartment. Likes to sleep under the heater, likes to run along a corridor to accelerate and then jump onto the couch. Oh, and this one time a couple of weeks ago the owner forgot to close the cage door in the evening - so the goo slept soundly in the cage, but woke her up the next day at 5 AM. Which is the usual time the owner gets up to go to work, but not on a Saturday, which it was... And she didn't just wake her up, she jumped onto the bed and walked all over the poor woman, making all kinds of noises until she woke up. And then demanded treats She's extra careful with the cage door now, of course.

Oh how sweet! The run up to the sofa sounds hilarious! Is this high jumping or pole vault?
