We totally understand the stresses and strains of poorly pets and that horrible feeling of dread when you go to check them on a morning. Sounds like you are doing an amazing job in very difficult circumstances. Sending best wishes to you and all your gang.

I just want to echo Savycat and say, please feel free to unload/ramble with us. We are not unfamiliar with loss. There are several who have lost loved ones, and most, if not all of us, have struggled with the illness of pets and the dread of impending loss. We understand the emotional cost, and we are here to offer support.

Hello, just thought I would give you a little update, sorry I havent been on but my 10yr old bun has been very poorly with a chest infection, he's picking up slowly.
Gilbert is acting exactly as he was when George was alive, he is still inquisitive of me but has declined any contact. I've noticed he spends most of his time on the top two tiers of the cage, perhaps so he can see Ben bunny in the pen? I gave him the heat pad and soft toy and he hasn't showed any interest. He was always the stronger of the two and I think he is going to be just fine on his own. I talk to him when I'm in there and he rubs his nose with his paw and then carries on on his wheel lol!
Thanks again for your kindnesses xx

I'm glad Gilbert is doing well - one less thing for you to worry about at the moment
