many thanks for your comment we did not do to bad in making cage They have loads of floor space, and I love the steps you've made for them! Will be interesting to see if yours are as hell bent on destroying toys as mine - a new hammor went in on Sunday night, and was non-existent by the time I got home yesterday lol

thanks for your kind comments , they are starting to eat the upright supports and the back of 2 shelfs , so i will move the sellfs back a bit so they cannot eat them and do some work on the uprights for the middle shelf, now we have got 3" kick boards on the bottom where the sawdust is but it is still ending up on the floor outside of the cage , without useing perspex is there anything that can be done about this problem we thought about making the kick boards higher about another 2 or 3" would this be ok or would it be to dark for them thanks for your advice

Have you seen how the sawdust is getting out? Maybe you could make the kickboards higher at the back and sides and then the light wouldn't really be affected? I'd be tempted to get a little wood shaving coloured mat to go in front of the cage! If the middle shelf supports are getting chewed you could replace them with really chunky ones, around 3" square and then the goos will only be able to chew the corners off and not really affect the strength. I think if you are going to prevent them from chewing the back of the small shelves it would be nice to put some wood or branches in that is meant for them to chew. You could just let them chew the small shelves and accept they will need replacing every so often.
