Hello there!
This is my first time posting on the forums. I've been Googling around a bit but I genuinely can't find an answer to my issue.
I have a degu that's four years old, she has a slight cataract in both her eyes but she can still see pretty well. There's this issue that I'm having with her and I'm worried sick about her well-being. Both her eyeballs are excessively swollen. She can still close her eyes, but compared to the others that I have in my pen her eyes are way too big. Could it be an infection? Should I take her to a vet? Any kind of advise is welcome.

Hi, welcome.
There could be an infection behind the eyes pushing the eyeballs forwards and making them look bigger, something like a dental root infection could cause this. Or glaucoma is a disease that causes increased pressure inside the eyes. Both of those possibilities are serious and painful so get her to an experienced vet ASAP.
