I really can't see anything obvious on his foot due to picture quality is there any swelling on it or any cuts? Is he bearing weight on that food at all? The vets on Monday is a good idea if it's no better by then

Is the toe at an odd angle? If he is in pain and not walking on it properly then it is likely he has injured it, but only time will tell how badly it is hurt. You've done the right thing taking the wheel out. Is he getting around the cage adequately? You might need to modify ramps etc so that he can get around easily. Have a look around for anything he might have hurt it on.
Vet would have a good look and feel and might do xray. May or may not prescribe metacam painkiller/ anti-inflammatory - they reduce pain which sometimes cause the degu to overuse the injured limb instead of resting it.

He said isnt putting pressure on it at all he is eating and doesnt seem to be going to the other levels so he is hurt but does seem to be resting it as much as he can only thing I can think of is when he climbs the cage wall which is bars he may have gotten it caught I went out on Saturday for an hout came homr and he was limping. So you think I should wait and watch it closely till monday or go to vet tonight? There is a 24 hr clinic but only vet there that will look at him is after 9

It depends on how your vets are set up for emergency appointments. If it was me I would wait until tomorrow to see my regular vet becuase the emergency vets are generally farm vets around here, but that may not be the case where you are. I would also wait as there is a limit to what the vet can do for something like this anyway. I would go straight away if the pain seemed really bad though. It's your call really.
Make sure he has everthing he needs on the one level if he isn't getting around too well.

I don't see anything obvious in the picture. There doesn't appear to be any swelling, no redness or anything that looks misshapen. He has likely strained a joint, or muscle, or both, but it should improve. I would say that if you don't see the lack of interest in treats or movement begin to improve by Tuesday, you should take him to the vet. Lethargy is a concerning symptom that should be seen to if it is continuing.

Vet told me that hombre is fine just a sprain it should be good in a week or 2 if it gets worse to buy childrens tylenol and dose his water with very little. Nice remedy I must say saves me money. Also hombre is the friendliest degu shes ever met lovely lady she is. Also confirmed that he is male. Very relieved and happy

Glad to hear the vet thinks it is a sprain. I hope he steadily improves.
I am very surprised and a bit concerned that the vet recommended Tylenol, which I believe is paracetamol. I have never come across this before, either a vet recommending a human medication or even paracetamol for degus in any form. At the very least it seems impossible that you would get an appropriate dose, and paracetamol is fatal in overdose (in a very painful way).
Metacam is the standard painkiller and anti-inflammatory for degus and in the cat concentration the standard dose for a degu is one drop.
