we've had a bad turn, friday loki woke up puffed up and slow again.
Not eating or drinking well, since this morning he has had diarrhea. creamy colour, really strong odour and about a tea spoons worth. we've seen 4 occasions today but he is damp and Ive cleaned his cage after 2 days (usually once a week) as it smelled bad. Ive got 4 ml of water syringed in this afternoon and weve got a little critical care in. He has got so very thin.
reading another thread does this sound at all like teeth? our vets is ok but I am not sure they would be any good at dealing with teeth, we are based in london. He has been asleep on the OH for a couple of hours and then we had to wrestle him off of the couch where he had sandwiched himself between the arm of the chair and the radiator.
any thoughts or suggestions really appreciated

I'm sorry for the return of this!! Teeth issues of any kind shouldn't cause diarrhea, especially like what you are seeing. I am wondering if there is a lack of appropriate bacteria in his gut, or some kind of liver trouble. It might not hurt to take a sample of his diarrhea to your vet.

This doesn't sound like anything we see regularly. It's not typical of a dental issue but that doesn't rule it out as being a factor, but as DC says, a dental issue by itself would not cause diarrhoea. I think he needs to go back to the vet, did he have a full course of antibiotics? Did they help? At least you can probably rule out stroke now. The vet can probably culture the diarrhoea, maybe an xray would help if the vet could get one without sedation. CJ Hall are an exotics specialist in London, they are excellent, but they are a bit pricey.
He will likely be dehydrated, so be quite proactive with the liquids and Critical Care, get as much into him as you can. You could also get some Vetark Pro-C, this is the appropriate probiotic and electrolytes, it does contain glucose, but they all do, so just keep it well diluted.

I am really sorry to write that Loki passed away tonight, after some critical care this evening he started struggling for breath and i took him to the vets earlier than our appointment. He struggled to make the journey there, his breathing was really laboured. the vet felt that something very serious was underlying the huge weight loss in the few days, she suspected a tumour.
I wanted to be selfish and bring him home but I could not see him suffer, he was helped by the vet to go to sleep. night loki, you will be so deeply missed x

thank you, we are heartbroken. He was laid to rest in my mums garden with Bee and Diego. Hardest decision I have ever made to have the vet help him sleep, I cant go in our lounge at the moment as its to quiet and no one if clanging food bowls on the cage door. This never gets any easier
