Looks great so far!
Gaps between the shelves are entirely up to you really. Just make sure you have enough space for a wheel etc. The only thing you need to be careful about is that there isn't a huge drop from top to bottom. If you are having full shelves that shouldn't be a problem, it's more when people have little perches dotted about that drops can become too big.
Hope that helps ;D

If you've got a 30cm wheel, you need getting on for 40cm for that level. Otherwise 25 to 40cm is the normal range for shelf spacing, it depends on how deep the cage is, whether you have different uses in mind for different levels, whether you want a deeper digging level with a bigger edging strip, whether you have any big toys or nest boxes....

The base is going to have a digging / foraging area and we have a big chinchilla wheel so 40 cm sounds about right I think I heard 50 somewhere so not far off, haven't really thought about what's going in each section yet we just want to get it up ad get them in for space , been shopping for lots of toys to go in there though seen some great stuff :-) need to start collecting sticks actually, better check the safe list :-) I'm sooo excited about them Moving in :-) :-) :-) maybe I should move in ha

The 50cm thing is making sure there are no drops over 50cm so they won't get hurt.
