LOL! the excitement is coming off you two in waves, it's fantastic ;D
Other ideas for cage stuff are terracotta pots in different sizes, I have some bigger ones lying on their sides and tiny ones upside down that they like to perch on. You can make simple houses from 3 flat pieces of pine screwed together, just 2 sides and a top, or you can add a back if you like. You can make hammocks or hammocky tubes from old jeans.

Argh! I had to put off ordering again! SO annoying!!! :/ But on the plus side, the goos are definitely going to be coming on Tuesday afternoon, and I made a fleecy hammock which is (in my opinion) pretty cool! I am thinking of what to make next- probably a nesting house as I think theirs has been well and truly demolished over the few years their parents have had it. I may make it out of oak, as I think we have some lying around somewhere! Im not sure if the goos will be able to move when I've finished with their cage! Note to self: limit the mad making spree a bit Oh well- at least they won't get bored! I'll try and post some pictures of some of their homemade stuff. Byee!

Having opened the boxes the cage seems like it's going to be ginormagantuan The "instructions" are just a bit of paper with a black and white drawing of the completed cage and another drawing showing where all the screws go. Looks like it will be a challenge

Looks like it will be a challenge The instructions don't help at all, it's pretty logical if you sort all the parts out - only took me 2hrs to build our one last night!!! Now need to find the time for some adjustments and then Corona and Sol can move in, I can't wait to see what they make of it! Good luck with yours

Thanks for the good luck wishes. Found it an absolute nightmare to build it, the instructions are pretty much useless. Took us 2 and a half hours on it. Was left with extra screws, there's random screw holes where screws don't need to go, had to choose between screwing the roof to the top part or screwing the top part to the bottom part due to lack of screw holes. The part below the bottom tray just rests on the bottom. It is not as secure when built as I would like. I think screw placement holes could have been a lot better. It's better to move it by the bit with the castors or the cage gets a bit dislodged. On the plus side it is really big

I bet you feel quite chuffed now though, for getting it up! Are you adding anything extra to the cage before letting the goos in?

Well, I was going to order mine just now, went to the checkout, and discovered that the sale price which would have been £145 with the voucher had gone back up to £160 with the voucher. >:(Well, I don't mind this at all, but my parents have told me to wait a week or so until there is another sale on. I am really quite miffed at myself, for not ordering sooner, but they said that if I can wait a bit longer it could be a birthday present. ..(the thing is, my birthday is in July ) Well Im still desperate to get them into a bigger cage sooner rather than later, so I'm a bit stuck as to what to do. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that they would probably be more settled in their own original cage for the first few days, so hmm? Still, the longer they stay in the thickets cage the more and more guilty im gonna feel! I'm in the middle of trying to get pro boards to work so I can put some pictures of what I made this afternoon on the forum but failing a bit. Photo bucket won't work (I'm on an iPad) so have to work on it. Try and post some piccies of their climbing frame

On the plus side it is really big Ha ha! We were quite shocked by the size, but so happy too as the boys will love it - I hope! We started putting some frames in place yesterday to act as splash guards, and I need a few more toys. I also need to line the trays with lino and then it'll be ready. I'm hoping to move them in tomorrow or Wednesday evening. Good luck with the accessorising and the Google move!!
