Any feedback on the large silent spinner wheels? Thinking of buying one, but can't seem to find anywhere that stocks them so can't physically touch it to see what the plastic is like. so would be buying it online. They have a plastic one at the moment which they havent chewed that much, but the weight of them climbing on top of it (when the think they are going to get a treat, or to stare at me) has made it bend at a funny angle.

I had a silent spinner. It lasted a fair amount of time I suppose with the constant use from 2 of my goos however the spindle did break after about 4 months due to 2 of them liking to run at the same time. At £15 a pop getting one every 4-6 months can become expensive.
We also had issues with the wheel falling off a lot before the bearing snapped also. The nut that keeps the wheel on kept falling off and the next day when we found it fallen off they'd then have chewed/buried the nut so it meant that the grooves on it wore out quickly after this and it fell off even more. We replaced it with our original rodent wheel from P@H which we removed due to it being squeaky originally. However with Vaseline it can be made to be very quiet and it seems more durable in comparison to a silent spinner. Our younger 2 goos use this wheel.
If you can afford it, you'd be better off getting a metal wheel for about £40. It will last much, much longer (some people have had them for a couple of years and they're still good from what I've read.) John Hopewell sells 12" ones and 16" but they're for chins and out of stock now, I have a 12" one myself for my older 2 goos now instead of plastic ones and it's great how durable it is.

I have a silent spinner, and while the furry one seems to like it, it is sort of unstable and tends to migrate through the cage as he runs on it. A side effect of this is that it is not actually "silent" unless one finds a way to secure it to the bottom of the cage. I tried taping it, but the furry one quickly did away with that and keeps trying to "remodel" and thus the wheel spends most of its time on its side.
