Just found this site via a Finch (bird) Forum: Mountain Rose Herbs www.mountainroseherbs.com/bulkherb/d.html. All organic, incredibly large catalog, prices I saw so far look good. Finch people say it's a good site. You can view the catalog online, it takes a bit to figure it out but then it works, or they will send you one. I just found this, and right now it boggles both mind and eyes. (Hubby is going to print out the catalog at work tomorrow for me, easier to work with, I think.)
But on a finch forum I belong to for my 12 various finches, I just saw someone post this link with the comment "A really good place to get dried herbs is...." so it would seem the finch people have been using this site for a while. I don't know what size pieces you get, whether they are essential whole or chopped, haven't looked that far into it yet. Just was so impressed by the list, I have been searching for a good source, but most have rather limited options.

I agree, they do have limited options, which can be discouraging. I once found a site that I got SO EXCITED about . . . and then realized I wasn't sure where it was found, so started to research. To my great disappointment I then learned it is a wholesaler that is located in Asia somewhere, and the only way to get a good price is to order larger amounts than I would ever be able to use for our degus. If I were passionate to open a business, well then it might be a great thing, but that isn't really my thing. LOL! It was rather disappointing to discover it was beyond reasonable reach.

Do you guys already have an ongoing thread for useful American info that you could add this to? Maybe it all needs gathering together and stickying, or a sticky thread linking to the various american info threads?
